TO CHRIST OUR SAVIOUR, IN HIS PASSION
(i) O Saviour of the World, O Sacrament divine,
All praise and thanksgiving be every moment
Thine.
(ii) Blessed, praised, and adored be Jesus Christ on his
throne of glory, and in the most holy Sacrament of the
altar.
(iii) O Jesus, who for love of me, did bear your cross to
Calvary, in your great mercy grant that I may live for
you, and in you die.
(iv) Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, refresh me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me;
Within your wounds, hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from you.
From the malicious enemy defend me.
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come to you;
That with your saints I may praise you
For ever and ever. Amen.
(v) O kind and loving Jesus. I kneel here before you,
asking you most fervently to put into my heart the
virtues of faith, hope, and charity, with true contrition
for my sins and a firm purpose of amendment.
Help me to contemplate with sorrow your five most
precious wounds, while I remember David’s prophecy:
They have pierced my hands and my feet, they have
counted all my bones.
